Joe oversees construction and general management of the Company. Joe has more than a decade of experience as an independent multi-family developer, with a proven track record of delivering quality apartment projects across the Southeast. In addition to development, Joe has worked in construction and asset management within the multi-family space, with a current portfolio of more than 3,000 units in the Southeast. Joe’s previous roles include working for his family businesses, including in a sewer plant business and for TWI as a warehouse manager in Germany. Joe is a graduate of The University of Tennessee Haslam School of Business and is active member of several non‐profit boards including the Zoo Knoxville, Boys and Girls Club of TN Valley, McClung Museum, and The Episcopal School of Knoxville.
Malik oversees planning, development, and operations of the Company. Prior to Hutch, Malik developed single and multi-tenant retail in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Malik was also responsible for managing a commercial real estate portfolio throughout the Southeast consisting of office, retail, mixed use, and multifamily totaling over 2 million square feet. Malik serves as a board member for Emory Healthcare Dekalb Medical Foundation and is actively involved with the Aga Khan Foundation and UNICEF NextGen Chapter in Atlanta. He received his BBA from Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University in New York and MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University where he also serves as a guest lecturer.
Richmond leads the financial strategy of the Company. Prior to Hutch, Richmond was the Portfolio Manager for a real estate private equity platform that focused on environmental resource developments. Richmond’s group managed three dedicated funds, which raised and deployed $300 million of institutional equity capital in more than 80 projects across 14 states. Previous experience includes investment banking, equity sales and trading, and alternative investments. Richmond is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (BA Economics) and is a CFA Charterholder.
Murad is an advisor in key matters related to the Company, as well as focusing on building capital relationships for Hutch. Murad has experience developing single‐tenant retail properties and overseeing a large hospitality development in Costa Rica. Murad is also active in franchising, real estate investing, other business acquisitions, and non‐profit work. Murad received his BBA from George Washington University and his MBA from Emory’s Goizueta Business School, where he now guest lectures in graduate finance classes. Murad serves on Emory University’s Board of Visitors, The Carter Center’s Board of Councilors, and is an active member of YPO Southern 7’s chapter.
